good morning Trojans my name is Elizabeth Johnson and this is your Wednesday broadcast or we discuss things that matter to you because what matters to you is what matters to us we know that mental health is one of the many things that we must keep track of especially during a time like this to help educate us about keeping a healthy mindset we have Mr Tyrell and mrs. Morgan from the health department what are the challenges 9 a.m. message Cheryl I am one of the health teachers at Mililani high school and health class we talked about the health triangle which is made up of physical health mental and emotional health and social health last week as you may have remembered Mr exaltamos pizza and I we can work out that you guys can do to improve your physical health this week we're going to be talking about how you can improve your mental health by having a growth mindset this is what a fixed mindset looks like I'm late for class I totally didn't know there was a quiz today I'm just going to stay late again Freddy Krueger and this is what a growth mindset looks like I'm not going to stay in bed I'm going to go sit at my desk and set myself up for success let's go ahead and talk about what a growth mindset is mindset is established set of attitude held by there are two types of mindsets out there fixed mindset with the mindset that we don't want compared to the growth mindset which is hopefully something that we are going to strive for researchers say that 80% of students have a fixed mindset believe that you are born in some people might be more smart and who is not for me also believe that everything is about the outcome if you feel like you're not the best it was all the way which is the belief that you can grow your brain and that your intelligence rolls with efforts are doing the guards about coming even if you ate opportunity play some calm. It was dated with text messages I can't do this I'm going to give up I'm not surprised looks like you can do this I'm not giving up and you will be good at I like you can do it the power of yet at the end of your mindset statements so instead of saying I can't say I can't do this yet number 2 is paid stop poison getting out of time by yourself up and give yourself to tone of voice using the word you in certify example from my doctor's to you got this thank you so much mr. Terrell and mrs. Morgan for teaching us how to fix our fixed mindset fall break is around the corner and when we return we will be joining mr. hanagami from the ATA Department I hope you guys are having a good Wellness week hanging the Trojans we are almost done with quarter one have a wonderful Wednesday and stay safe the hurry up
