so without take a moment we're too young to down deep and dirty wood is full of gold let me pull let me slow it down ain't it funny how it changes how the future rearranges I get nervous good morning Trojans today is February 26th Wednesday and we have periods 1 advisory 2 6 and 7 and we had a 12:47 hey class of 2026 Junior parent night will be held on Wednesday February 26th at 5:30 p.m. in our cafeteria we encourage all class of 2026 parents and students to join us topics such as diploma requirements College and Career Center upcoming senior year announcements and more will be covered following the parent night will be a College Planning event from 6:00 to 8:00 this event is open to all grade levels students and families we will be having 20 minutes sessions in the following topics College search preparation and application tips essay writing and financial aid and scholarships come for all or 1 session hope to see you there hello how students speaker sessions are back again in the College and Career Center check out our website for a list of visiting organizations February visitors include Washington State University Air Force ROTC Northern Arizona University and uh a special next steps presentation for students accepted to Washington state will be held on Tuesday February 25th if you're interested in attending any of our speaker sessions visit the college and career website to sign up hey Trojan Nation this week kicks off the class of 2025 take it seriously camping okay focused on sleep deprivation and time management we're going to meet with a sleep deprivation expert I'll pass it to you Christine we are meeting with AP psychology teacher professional golfer and sleep deprivation expert Mr muroka Mr muraoka is there a connection between sleep deprivation and academic performance So speaking from personal standpoint as well as research uh yes from a personal standpoint um I was solely deprived that I lost the ability to read um on a research standpoint yes um many people report uh memory loss as well as other cognitive difficulties because of sleep deprivation how does lack of sleep impact mood stress levels and mental Health in high schoolers so mood greatly because as a teenager your knee jerk go-to emotion is usually anger so even though you're tired you feel angry even though you're tired you're really frustrated but you feel angry so I think among teenagers especially mood is has the greatest impact upon upon you guys is there anything else that you would like to share about sleep yeah so again from a personal standpoint I learned this from my doctor that um sleep is actually becoming more important in medicine than what we eat so many doctors focus more on sleep and diet believe it or not um what I learned from my doctor is sleep or sleep deprivation is linked to our central nervous system so that's why it's linked to stroke and heart disease um on a personal note um it's also effective on the digestive system and you are likely to to have um weight fluctuations if you are sleep deprived so yeah learned all of this from my sleep study doctor and and and I learned a lot so you should too so enjoy all right thank you Mr muraoka you're welcome Once Upon a Time at Milani High a tale as old as time was coming by on April 12th 2025 it all convened at Hilton wine Village a ballroom Serene they saved the date and found their Bays but tuxes dresses and the hearts of flutter the Knight Jr and Enchanted Evening of love and cheer so mark your calendars don't forget a night of magic you won't regret April 12th 2025 don't be late the reason why Village saved the day Be Our Guests and find you happily ever after today's lunch is hamburgers Curry and tomorrow's breakfast is breakfast burrito from the mouth play welcome to my house
