Mumps Notification

Today, we received a call from the Department of Health at 9:40am concerning an individual who works in the cafeteria at Mililani High School.  This person is confirmed as having an infection with the mumps virus and worked on September 7th during the infectious period.  


We are being advised by the Departments of Health and Education to advise everyone to be alert to this situation. As a further precaution, we pulled back meals from all schools serviced by Mililani High School which include Mililani Uka and Mililani Waena. The cafeteria at Mililani High School is closed for disinfecting and students were offered an alternative meal today.


This afternoon, during period 7, your child should have received a notification letter along with frequently asked questions regarding the mumps virus. Please make sure to read this official notification. Click here to read the letter sent home today.
